Euphoria's Handcarved Rubberstamps

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi :)
Hope you are all good and standing tall. Euphoria Craftwork is not resuming operation any time soon. I'm currently looking at other business models that would minimize my carving hours and my use of electrical handheld machines. Future product: Custom-size rubberstamps (machine-produced)

Soft Toys: Otis The Owl

3.4.10
This is Otis the Owl.  I stitched him last night using a sock and some bits of felt.  He can stand on his own at 14cm tall and 8cm wide.  Suitable for small hands and arms to cuddle.
Then I made some minor alterations.  Does he look better? or worst? haha!  No worries, the 'eyebrows' can be taken off.
For orders, email me at i.euphoria at gmail.com

Have a good weekend!!!

Cupcake in your hair

8.2.10
Its a hairclip.  Yes.  It is.  No disputing ok. ;)
It is just one item, the cupcake attached to the 'heart' shape.
Work is still hectic so I cant do much serious crafting YET.

Below is the hairclip framed in Jaja's fancy tag holder that I won :)

I also went shopping last weekend.
I went scouting for erasers and found some.
I'll be testing them later.

I smell a rat!

6.2.10
Do you want to cuddle a rat? I assure you this one doesnt bite and would not be so life-threatening.  It's 15.5cm in length and its great for story-telling and as a pincushion (of course).  Go over to http://www.marthastewart.com/ for the design template :)
An environmentalish rat aye? hahahhaha

I'm so looking forward to enjoy my weekend.
cheers!

Felt Craft: Wazzat?

3.2.10
I rummaged through my craft supplies and found a stash of felt and buttons last night.  I was clearly not at my crafty best last night that I could not think of a significant design to create to sew my felt.  In the end, I just made a puffed square embellished with round felt cuts and buttons.  Enjin belum panas kut.  Baru keluar dari daerah mengukir pemadam hahaha!
I could use this as a pincushion right?  At the moment it sits next to my laptop, as a stress reliever - I squeeze it in between typing proposals at work.

I'm beginning to think I've lost momentum after I completed my MBA.  The intensity of the stress actually helped me to be more creative I think.  Meaning, the more important the work/job, the more I play around... heheh... wicked.  Please do not jump on this train ok. ;)

Lets see what I can come up with later.

Oh yes, I've removed all links to craft websites to another page.  You can click the link on the top left of this page to browse them all.  OR you can go straight to http://euphoria-favourites.blogspot.com/

Seeya!

Genki desu ka?*

8.12.09

Miyoko, my Japanese doll
Using bits of felt, ribbons and pink brads (for the cheeks), I bring forth Miyoko*, my first Japanese Felt Keychain figurine.  She is 7cm x 5cm.  I dont have buttons or I would've used that instead of the yellow felt flower.  The ribbon on her head needs to be changed though... Like I said, when driven by stress or boredom, I channel my anxiety or lack of it towards crafting.  :)

*Genki desu ka = How are you?
*Miyoko = Beautiful Child

Felt Craft: Quack!

20.11.09

This is Quack 'Jolie' McDuck. I think you can figure out why my friends labels it 'Jolie' heheh... My son totally adores it.

Note1:  Template changed on Nov 17,2009.  I changed the template of this blog and this is the 5th template that I tried and decided to stick with.  Why the change?  Found out that the comment section of the previous template did not work.  Hmmph!

Click on picture for biGGER image.

Note2:  Short tutorial added on 10 Dec 2009 because... err.. I have nothing better to do hahahahha! Please also note I did not include any specific measurement.  I leave it to your creativity and imagination.  I believe that is your forte!  oh ye, tulisan tu boleh baca kan... hihi

Learning to handle felt

31.10.09

I'm still a beginner in felt craft and I've been dragging my felt kit around everywhere without much done.  So, today here's what I finally came up with.  (The owl is someone else's design copied from the net)

Okay... time to get back to my ribbons!!!!!!

New Mobile Phone Sleeve

7.10.09

Here's my third felt project done last night; mobile phone inside.  I needed to do something crafty after cooking the Gemencheh Chicken Rendang with Cleome Gynandra (Daun Maman) and to rest the Spicy Chicken McDeluxe that I ate at 10.30pm.  Yes, sometimes we do that.  So, I started this at about 11.30pm and finished around 12.30pm.

The stitching was not long but figuring out the design, fashioning the felt and cutting work was taking quite some time.  Its actually just one sleeve, fluorescent green on one side and pink on the other, attached using blanket stitch.  The phone needed some protection after my nephews ripped off the screen protector 3 months ago.

Needle Book

1.10.09

I'm currently at home nursing my headache, backache and recovering from flu.  Since my hands are ok and able, I made a simple felt needle book, trial and error mode.  The stitches are kinda crooked but all in all, I'm quite happy with the result.

Eid was something else this year, even Ramadhan.  Day 11 Ramadhan, my close friend was admitted into ICU, stayed in coma for a week over and till now still there, dependant on painkillers to keep him stable.  Day 1 Syawal, my grandma went into coma at home (high blood pressure, low heart beat) and stayed in coma until she passed away last Saturday night (day 7 syawal).

Lemon Wedge

14.9.09
I've long been admiring felt crafters with their attention to detail and cute designs.  So, after a long period of contemplation, I managed to make my first felt lemon wedge! (Biasala... kalau orang lain buat, hati ni membuak-buak semangat nak tgk boleh buat jugak tak).  It looks a bit shabby but kinda ok for a 1st attempt (I think).

Bought the felt online from TICA last two weeks, and yesterday I went to Tesco to buy a pillow (for the poly fill/stuffing).  Easier than having to go to a craft shop (a chance I rarely have).
Made several paper cutouts just to figure out how to do this.  This was from my own thick head ok ;) so it may not be the same way done by experienced crafters.  I dont even know what is the name of the stitch I used haha!  So, now I can use it for a pin cushion :).
