I finally completed my 1st DIY Ribbon Embroidery cushion covers on my own. What a long journey it has been haha!
It all started when I chanced upon a few RE enthusiast or ribbon artist or ribbonist, etc and took fancy to their ribbonworks. So I decided to catch up. Bought supplies, books, became a member in one of PnAnn's tutorial programs and did quite a bit of ribbon embroideries. Sold some too. But most of my embroideries lies stacked in a box because I didnt have a sewing machine.
I saved up and went to LSN and bought a sewing machine. Still, I had to learn how to use it and familiarize myself with it. Then in 2010, I was hit hard by the rubber carving fever..... and worth to mention is.. my workload at the office and priority spiked too. So that is how the embroidery above took almost 1 and a half year to complete (the embroidery itself was completed in 21 June 2009). I made 2 covers :) but I think I still need to learn how to attach the zippers properly.
To friends, followers, visitors and fellow crafters, have a great year ahead and may we be able bring a bit of joy everyday into the world using our creations :)
