4 stamps completed with mounting after a noisy affair last night (Lets hope my neighbours think it is the blender and cake mixer that I was using, otherwise I may be thrown out out the neighbourhood). I usually stamp "Euphoria Craftwork" with a rose on the upper right to mark my work. The black ink is StazOn and the red ink is VersaCraft.
This is my sander and jigsaw. For those who dont know, the red jigsaw is what I use to cut the wood into the required sizes. (I used to do this via manual saw). The sander above, attached with sanding sheets (2 types;coarse and fine) is what I use to smooth the wood mounting.
Let me go a bit on the wood mounting. The wood I use costs RM54 for 1.5foot long at one of the DIYs in KL. It is light and smooth to hold once sanded properly. I stamped the image right onto the mounting using permanent StazOn ink (fits for every surface) and leave it like that. To keep the mounting cost down, I dont apply shellac or lacquer. Some carver would also print the image on a heat transfer paper and attach it onto the mounting. That would also be another cost element I can do without.
Yes. I'm a carving geek. haha.
