The folding linen tester magnifier, my new carving assistant.
My letter carving skill is not that great at the moment. I still can't carve those tiny Arial size 8 with ease and finesse. So I bought this magnifier to help me carve the tiny letters. I bought it in the stationery section in the bookshop for less than RM10. Frankly.. I think I need more time to get used to it. Not really doing much for me it isnt *lol. The magnifier stands on its own when folded but since it is kinda small, that position kinda restrict my blades angle. So, I had to mount the magnifier.
Here is how I mounted the magnifier; folded it backwards, place on top of box or polystyrene, use rubber bands to secure it, and there you go; my DIY desk magnifier. Yes, whatever works my dears. Be creative. No need to stress yourself when craft-making is supposed to be therapheutic :)
Oh dear, my blanket and pillow is caaaaaaalllinnnnng...... gotta go sleep now.. g'nite...
Next morning update: I went back to my parents abode last weekend and picked up some pine blocks (my dad is a DIY guy, he's got stuff lying around his shed). Lets see how best I can mount my stamps using them. They are supposed to be easier under the blades.
Have a good week!
